OGRA reduces the price of LNG

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has reduced the price of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to $1.21 per Metric Million British Thermal Unit (MMBTU).

According to OGRA, the price of LNG for January has been released, LNG on the Sui Northern system has been priced at $1.13 per MMBTU in January, while LNG on the Sui Southern system has been priced at $1.21 per MMBTU.

OGRA said the decline in LNG prices is less than December prices.

According to OGRA, the new price of LNG on the Sui Northern system has been fixed at $13.68 per MMBTU, while the price of LNG on the Sui Southern system has been fixed at $14.24 per MMBTU.

Earlier,  In response to a formal request from Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has extended a $2 billion loan for a one-year period, sources said.

This development arises from Pakistan’s request to the UAE for the extension of a $2 billion loan, set to mature in the current month of January.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar drafted a letter addressed to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, formally seeking the rollover of the loan.
