India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Friday achieved a milestone as he completed 2000 Test runs on day three of the opening match against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
Ravindra, playing his 53rd Test match and played a brilliant straight drive off England left-arm pacer, Sam Curran, to reach the landmark of 2000 runs. He became the fifth-fastest to complete 200 wickets and amassed 2000-plus runs in Test cricket.
Former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Imran Khan also completed this Test double in his 50th Test.
With his 2000 Test runs, Ravindra who is currently ranked second in the Test rankings for all-rounders – became the 21st player and fifth Indian to score 2,000+ runs and take 200+ Test wickets. He made his Test debut in 2012 and scored 1206 Test runs at home in 44 innings and 797 runs in 32 innings overseas. He averages 35.77 and slammed a ton and 15 fifties in the longest format of the game.
Today the players of the national T20 squad will join their respective Kashmir Premier League’s (KPL) teams as the mega cricket event is all set to begin at the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium.
‘Imad Wasim’ and ‘Azam Khan’ will join the squad of ‘Overseas Warriors’. Former South African cricketer ‘Herschelle Gibbs’ is also arriving in Pakistan today to join the tournament.
‘Mohammad Hafeez’ will join the squad of ‘Muzaffarabad Tigers’ as the skipper of the team.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has allowed only the non-centralized players to play in the event.
The players with the central contract did not get NOC from the cricket board to participate in the KPL.
Five pitches at the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium are prepared for the match, for broadcasting twenty-two HD cameras, Drone Cameras will be used with floodlights.
LED Flex technology will also be used for the KPL matches for the first time in Pakistan and in past, this technology is only been used in matches played in England. All the matches are day and night fixtures
Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ask players and other staff not to participate in KPL and ask the International Cricket Council (ICC) to not recognize the tournament, on this ICC responded that they would do no such thing as the KPL does not fall in their dominion.
The Opening Season of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) is ready to begin on 4th August 2021, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is the Administrator of the KPL. Therefore PCB announces the start date of 6th August Because Pakistan Super League (PSL) reschedules from 1st June.
Initially, the event was held in May but PSL was not yet completed so PCB postponed the Schedule.
It will be the very first Season of the KPL. So the Anthem Song of KPL was released in February.
The Tournament will feature Kashmiri Cricketers along with Pakistan International Cricketers. It will be an Advantage for Young Kashmiri Cricketers to play with Pakistan International Crickets.
PCB announces that International Cricketers will join KPL from Second Edition.

Anthem Song of KPL 2021 was released on 16th February. KPL’s official anthem song Released on the official Youtube Channel of KPL. So the official Anthem Song will be available on the Social Media Platforms of the KPL. This song is sung by popular Pakistani Musician Rahat Fateh Ali Khan while it is directed by Shaan Shahid.
The video of Anthem Song features Shahid Afridi a popular Pakistani cricket player. Shahid and Pakistani Celebrities are the Brand ambassadors of KPL (Pakistan) 2021. Also for the Charity Foundation KPL has partnered with Shahid Afridi Foundation
KPL Pakistan All Team Squads
In the Opening Season of KPL (Pakistan), 2021 total of Six teams will feature. Five teams will represent the different cities based in Azaad Kashmir Region. While Team Overseas Warriors will represent Kashmiri outside of Pakistan.
Pakistan International Cricketers will likely be the ICON of six Different Teams. The Captain and Playing XI of Each team will announce very soon. PCB will release all the official Announcements very soon.

The ‘La Liga’ club said on Thursday, that Argentina striker Lionel will leave Barcelona even though both the parties have reached an agreement over a new contract, citing economic and structural obstacles to the renewal of the deal.
The club officials said, “Although an agreement has been reached between FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi it cannot be formalized due to economic and structural obstacles,”
They added, “Faced with this situation, Lionel Messi will not remain linked to Barcelona. Both sides deeply regret that the wishes of both the player and the club cannot come true.”

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Pakistan and New Zealand will play three ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League ODIs and five Twenty20 Internationals on their first tour to Pakistan in September and October.
Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium will be the venue of the 17th, 19th, and 21st September ODIs, while the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will stage the five T20Is from the 25th September to 3rd October.
PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan said that the series played between the teams will be a perfect beginning for the mouth-watering and highly exciting home season of red and white-ball cricket.
