Fiido is a leader in e-bike crowdfunding campaigns and raised over $1.5 million on Kickstarter last year for the first-generation Fiido X.

Like its predecessor, the Fiido X (2022) has a simple appearance. It has a frame made of magnesium alloy with a torque sensor, but with a number of significant and obvious improvements.

It utilizes a Seatpost integrated design for the battery and keeps the 417.6 Wh pack from the 2021 model.

The upgraded keypad-based security architecture from Fildo is used by the new e-bike.

For a better riding experience and greater mobility, the saddle, handlebars, and folding mechanism have also been improved.

A more advanced trip computer with an odometer and the ability to switch between mph and km/h speed configurations will be included with the Fiido X (2022).

The new Fiido X e-bike has undergone a few more modifications, but many of its technical details are still under wraps.

The new e-bike’s pricing and release date have not been disclosed by the manufacturer.

For comparison, the 350W/110km model is offered in several markets for between $1,799 and $1,999. However, it is anticipated that Fiido will shortly announce the Fiido X (2022) specifications.

Intel launches ‘Raptor Lake’ 13th Gen CPUs; functions 41% faster

Intel launches ‘Raptor Lake’
  • Intel’s new “Raptor Lake” desktop processors are the brand’s 13th generation of desktop processors.
  • There are just three models in the new lineup, and each has two variations.
  • The top-of-the-line Core i9-13900K and its 13900KF iGPU-free model have impressive features.

As of today, Intel’s new “Raptor Lake” CPUs are the brand’s 13th generation of desktop processors. There are just three models in the new lineup, and each has two variations.

For the average person, all you need to know is that the new 13th-generation Intel chips are faster and, according to Intel, more efficient than their predecessors.

Without purchasing a different motherboard, you can purchase these chips and put them in your current Intel 12th Gen motherboards.

Proceed with caution if you are unfamiliar with the technical terms used in the remainder of this essay.

New Features

According to Intel, the new generation maintains the same hybrid architecture design as the 12th generation but offers 15% greater single-threaded performance and up to 41% faster-multithreaded performance.

The top-of-the-line Core i9-13900K and its 13900KF iGPU-free model have impressive features.

The Core i9-13900K features 32 threads, 16 efficiency (E) cores (without Hyper-Threading), and 8 performance (P) cores.

The E cores can run up to 4.3GHz while the P cores can reach a staggering 5.8GHz. With a maximum Turbo power of 253W and 32 MB of L2 cache, the base power is 125W.

One rung down the ladder, the Core i7-13700K offers 24 threads over 8 P-cores and 8 E-cores. The L3 cache is rated at 30 MB, while the L2 cache is 24 MB.

The E cores can attain 4.2GHz and the performance cores up to 5.4GHz. Its base and turbo powers, 125W and 253W, are identical to those of the i9 model.

Specifications for the new models are shown in detail in the graphic below.

Additionally, it displays the new chips’ prices, which are surprisingly lower than those of the most recent AMD processors (Ryzen 7000 series).

All new CPUs will have 20 PCIe lanes (20 PCIe 5.0 + 4 PCI 4.0), and thanks to XMP, they will support up to DDR5 memory at better speeds.

The Intel UHD Graphics 770 will be available on all models with integrated GPUs.

The new Z790 chipset motherboards that were also launched at the same time will support the processors.

They will also work with motherboards from the earlier 600 series. Beginning on October 20, the latest CPUs and motherboards will be accessible.

Intel launches Arc A770 GPU to take on Nvidia RTX 3060

Intel launches Arc A770 GPU
  • Intel has confirmed pricing and availability details for its latest and greatest desktop GPU.
  • It has two memory configurations with 8 GB and 16 GB VRAM, 32 Xe cores, 32 Ray Tracing units, and other features.
  • The A770 should be able to perform about the same as or better than Nvidia’s RTX 3060.

For its most advanced desktop GPU, the ARC A770, Intel has verified the ARC A770’s pricing and availability information.

The entry-level RTX 3060 from Nvidia, which costs roughly $350 and more, is directly competed with by this graphics card, which has a starting price of $329.

Early in the month, Intel released the A770’s specifications.

It is based on the ARC 7 GPU and is one of the three Intel GPUs (A380, A750, and A770) that have been announced thus far.

It has two alternative memory configurations with 8 GB and 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM, 32 Xe cores, 32 Ray Tracing units, and other features.

It features a 225W power rating and supports XeSS, Intel’s implementation of Nvidia’s DLSS technology, which raises frame rates in games without lowering image quality.

The salient characteristics of each Intel desktop GPU are listed below.

Benchmarks of Intel’s RTX 3060’s gaming performance against those of Nvidia are also available.

According to Intel, the A770 should be able to perform about the same as or better than its competitor in some games.

It’s important to note that the RTX 3060 debuted in January 2021 for about the same price (at least on paper).

It is important to note that Intel has referenced the A770’s “beginning price,” which most likely refers to the 8 GB model.

The cost of the 16 GB version, which will be offered on the Limited Edition device, has not yet been disclosed by the firm.

There is currently no confirmation, however, the price for that variant is presumably going to be around $400.

Although there are several movies comparing the GPU to the RTX 3070 from Nvidia, the RX 6750 XT from AMD, and a few others already accessible on YouTube, we advise waiting until the graphics card is made available to reputable reviewers in order to obtain accurate performance data.

We won’t know for sure until a few days or a few weeks from now because Intel has probably embargoed reviews until the launch date (or a few days before launch).

Elon Musk demands to end SEC tweet pre-approval

Elon Musk demands to end SEC
  • Elon Musk is suing the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over a pre-approval requirement for some of his Twitter posts.
  • His attorneys argue that the rule went against American values of free speech and violated the US Constitution.
  • Musk is suing Twitter over his April deal to buy the company for $44 billion.

Elon Musk’s attorneys argued before a federal appeals court that a clause in his 2018 consent agreement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) should be struck down because it mandated that a Tesla Inc lawyer review some of his Twitter statements.

The pre-approval requirement was referred to by Musk’s attorneys as a “government-imposed muzzle” in a brief that was sent late on Tuesday to the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan.

This restriction prevented Musk from exercising his right to free expression on a variety of subjects.

In addition, they said that the rule went against American values of free speech and open debate and violated the US Constitution.

An outside-of-market hours inquiry for comment received no immediate response from the SEC. It’s anticipated that it will submit its own brief to the appeals court.

Musk is attempting to overturn a portion of US District Judge Lewis Liman’s ruling on April 27 that denied his request to completely invalidate the consent decree.

Since “his corporation has become, in his perspective, all but indestructible,” Liman claimed that Musk’s comments amounted to a “bemoaning” of requirements he no longer wished to follow.

According to Forbes magazine on Wednesday, Musk, 51, is worth $259.8 billion, which is nearly twice as much as anyone else.

A lawsuit against Musk for allegedly misleading investors by tweeting on August 7, 2018, that he had “funding secured” to take his electric car firm private, even though a buyout was not imminent, was concluded by the decree.

According to Musk, the tweet was accurate.

As part of the settlement, Musk consented to let a Tesla attorney review tweets for any potential significant information about the business.

Additionally, Musk and Tesla each paid $20 million in civil penalties, and Musk resigned as chairman of Tesla.

But after Musk questioned his followers in a tweet on November 6, 2021 whether he should sell 10% of his Tesla ownership to pay tax liabilities on stock options, the SEC later started an investigation and demanded records pertaining to Musk’s and Tesla’s compliance.

In their petition on Tuesday, Musk’s attorneys said that the SEC needed to be controlled.

“Under the shadow of the consent decree, the SEC has increasingly surveilled, policed, and attempted to curb Mr. Musk’s protected speech that does not touch upon the federal securities laws,” the lawyers wrote.

“Any objective served by the pre-approval provision has been served.”

Separately, Musk is attempting to back out of his April deal to purchase Twitter for $44 billion, claiming the company misled him by understating the number of false accounts.

To compel him to execute the merger at the agreed-upon price, which is 23% more than where its shares ended trading on Tuesday, Twitter has filed a lawsuit against Musk. Delaware Chancery Court has scheduled a nonjury trial for October 17.

Musk v. SEC, 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals, No. 22-1291, is the name of the case.

Elon Musk trolls NASA with Will Smith-Chris Rock photo

Elon Musk trolls NASA
  • NASA DART spacecraft successfully slammed into a far-off asteroid at hypersonic speed on Monday.
  • The image was used to troll NASA by Elon Musk on his Twitter account.
  • The image is related to Rock making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia at the Oscars.

An image of Hollywood actor Will Smith slapping his coworker Chris Rock was used to troll the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) by the wealthy founder of Tesla.

Elon Musk did not give a caption, leaving that up to Twitter followers. Over 430,000 people have already liked it, and over 35,000 people have retweeted it.

The NASA DART spacecraft successfully slammed into a far-off asteroid at hypersonic speed on Monday in the first test of a planetary defense system meant to avert a potential catastrophic meteorite collision with Earth.

This was the subject of Musk’s tweet.

Ten months after DART was launched, a NASA live stream from the mission operations center outside of Washington, DC, captured humanity’s first attempt to change the motion of an asteroid or any celestial body.

After Rock made a joke at the Oscars equating his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who has short hair, to GI Jane, Smith smacked the actor. It’s still unknown if Rock was aware that Pinkett Smith had alopecia.

Apple dismisses plan to raise iPhone production as demand declines

Apple dismisses plan to raise iPhone production
  • Apple has decided against increasing the manufacturing of the devices this year.
  • Suppliers were told to scale back plans to raise production of its premium iPhone 14 product line.
  • Instead, Apple plans to make 90 million devices for the time period.

After the predicted jump in demand for its new iPhones did not occur, Apple has decided against increasing manufacturing of the devices this year, a global media outlet claimed on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the situation.

According to the media site, the company instructed suppliers to scale back plans to raise production of its premium iPhone 14 product line by up to 6 million units in the second half of this year.

Instead, the company with its headquarters in Cupertino, California, plans to make 90 million devices for the time period, roughly the same as a year ago and in accordance with Apple’s first prediction this summer, according to the source.

As a result of the greater demand for the more expensive iPhone 14 Pro models compared to the entry-level devices, at least one Apple supplier is switching production capacity from cheaper iPhones to premium models.

As the tech giant shifts some of its production away from China, Apple announced this week that it would begin producing the iPhone 14, which was introduced earlier this month, in India.

Watch: NASA spacecraft hits asteroid during planetary defense test

Watch: NASA spacecraft hits asteroid
  • NASA’s DART spacecraft successfully collided with an asteroid on Monday night.
  • The $330 million mission was designed to see if a spaceship could alter an asteroid’s trajectory just by applying kinetic force.
  • The collision was the first test of a planetary defense system meant to stop an apocalyptic meteorite collision with Earth.

Ten months after DART’s launch, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) webcast from the mission operations center outside of Washington, DC, depicted humanity’s first attempt to change the motion of an asteroid or any celestial body.

In the first test of a planetary defense system meant to stop an apocalyptic meteorite collision with Earth, NASA’s DART spacecraft successfully slammed into a faraway asteroid at supersonic speed on Monday.

The asteroid Dimorphos is about the size of a football stadium. It was 6.8 million miles (11 million km) from Earth when the cube-shaped “impactor” vehicle, barely bigger than a vending machine with two rectangular solar arrays, streaked into it at 7:14 pm EDT (2314 GMT).

DART, which was launched by a SpaceX rocket in November 2021, was mostly piloted by NASA flight directors until the last hours of the trip when autonomous onboard navigation software took over.

The mission operations center at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland, kept a close eye on Monday night’s bullseye strike.

The DART onboard camera’s second-by-second views of the target asteroid, which grew larger and eventually covered the TV screen of NASA’s live webcast just before the signal was lost, caused cheers to break out in the control room as it was confirmed that the spacecraft had collided with Dimorphos.

The $330 million mission, which took seven years to build, was designed to see if a spaceship could alter an asteroid’s trajectory just by applying kinetic force, just far enough to keep Earth safe.

UK to fine Tiktok for violating children privacy

UK to fine Tiktok for violating

Britain might fine TikTok $28.91 million for failing to protect children’s privacy, according to an inquiry.

TikTok may have processed data from children under 13 without parental agreement and failed to offer clear information to its users.

The ICO handed TikTok and TikTok Information Technologies UK Ltd a “notice of intent.”

TikTok “fell short of meeting that criteria,” Information Commissioner John Edwards said.

TikTok disagrees with the ICO’s preliminary views and will reply formally in due course, a representative told Reuters.

TikTok violated UK data protection rules between May 2018 and July 2020, according to the ICO.

In July, the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee decided to raise the age children receive internet privacy protections to 16 and ban targeted advertising to youngsters by TikTok and Snapchat (SNAP.N) without authorization.

Apple iPhone 14 prices in Pakistan; Import vs Local buy

Apple iPhone 14 prices in Pakistan
  • A 128 GB iPhone 14 can be purchased for about Rs. 381,999 in Pakistan.
  • The cost of importing an iPhone 14 will be around Rs. 274,541.
  • Depending on the vendor, you might have to pay for shipping.

At the moment, import tariffs in Pakistan are exorbitantly expensive, whether it be for automobiles, laptops, GPUs, or other goods.

This is the primary cause of Pakistan’s worsening smartphone price trends over time.

This month, Apple’s new iPhones arrived in Pakistan, and the local prices are as outrageous as you might anticipate.

The current exchange rate for a basic iPhone 14 is $799, which is equal to Rs. 192,343. On Telemart and other online shops, a 128 GB iPhone 14 can be purchased for about Rs. 381,999 in Pakistan.

But what would it cost for you to import an iPhone? Is it cheaper than purchasing a phone locally? Now that we have verified import tax data from FBR, we can finally respond to these queries.

These mobile phone import taxes were taken directly from an FBR document that was leaked.

Note: Mobile Levy = ML, Withholding Tax = WHT, Sales Tax = ST, and Regulatory Duty = RD.

  • Up to $30: RD (Rs. 300), ST (Rs. 200), WHT (Rs. 100) ML (Rs. 100)
  • $30 to $100: RD (Rs. 3,000), ST (Rs. 200), WHT (Rs. 100), ML (Rs. 200)
  • $100 to $200: RD (Rs. 7,500), ST (Rs. 1,680), WHT (Rs. 930), ML (Rs. 600)
  • $200 to $350: RD (Rs. 11,000), ST (17% of base USD value), WHT (Rs. 970), ML (Rs. 1,800)
  • $350 to $500: RD (Rs. 15,000), ST (17% of base USD value), WHT (Rs. 5,000), ML (Rs. 4,000)
  • $500 to $700: RD (Rs. 22,000), ST (17% of base USD value), WHT (Rs. 11,500), ML (Rs. 8,000)
  • Above $700: RD (Rs. 22,000), ST (17% of base USD value), WHT (Rs. 11,500), ML (Rs. 16,000)

These calculations suggest that the cost of importing a 128 GB iPhone 14 will be around Rs. 274,541. Following is a breakdown:

(RD) Rs. 22,000 + ST (17% of 192,343 = Rs. 32,698) + WHT (Rs. 11,500) + ML (Rs. 16,000) + phone value ($799 = Rs. 192,343). All of this adds up to Rs. 274,541, which is more than Rs. 100,000 lower than the local price.

Here is a comparison of the costs for every iPhone 14 model:

iPhone 14 and 14 Plus

Model Import Local Purchase
128 GB iPhone 14 Rs. 274,541 Rs. 381,999
256 GB iPhone 14 Rs. 302,707 Rs. 404,999
512 GB iPhone 14 Rs. 359,037 Rs. 454,999
128 GB iPhone 14 Plus Rs. 302,707 Rs. 499,999
256 GB iPhone 14 Plus Rs. 330,872 Rs. 529,999
512 GB iPhone 14 Plus Rs. 387,203 Rs. 569,999

iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max

Model Import Local Purchase
128 GB iPhone 14 Pro Rs. 330,872 Rs. 464,999
256 GB iPhone 14 Pro Rs. 359,037 Rs. 479,999
512 GB iPhone 14 Pro Rs. 415,368 Rs. 549,999
1 TB iPhone 14 Pro Rs. 471,699 Rs. 609,999
128 GB iPhone 14 Pro Max Rs. 359,037 Rs. 539,999
256 GB iPhone 14 Pro Max Rs. 387,203 Rs. 569,999
512 GB iPhone 14 Pro Max Rs. 443,534 Rs. 609,999
1 TB iPhone 14 Pro Max Rs. 499,865 Rs. 669,999

Since these costs were derived from US models, imported phones from other countries may have somewhat different costs.

It is also important to note that by paying these taxes, you will automatically receive PTA’s approval and won’t have to pay an additional cost.

The handsets’ final pricing are the import prices previously specified. Depending on the vendor, you might have to pay for shipping, but you can also arrange for someone to send it to you from abroad.

Please take note that you will not be required to pay withholding taxes on a phone that is transported as personal luggage.

Last week, the US central bank hiked the interest rates by 75 basis points and signalled more increases are to come.

On the local front, the rupee has recovered against the dollar at the interbank foreign exchange market, following the news of Ishaq Dar becoming the new finance minister of Pakistan.

The local unit gained Rs2.63 against the dollar to reach Rs237.02 from Friday’s closing of Rs239.65/dollar.

The market sentiments got a boost as Dar, known for keeping the rupee overvalued against the dollar, will likely take charge of the finance ministry after Miftah Ismail officially tenders his resignation.

Oppo launches A17 with Helio G35

Oppo launches A17
  • Oppo A17 has been officially launched.
  • It has two cameras and a large 5,000 mAh battery.
  • In Malaysia, the phone costs MYR 599 (roughly $130) and is available for pre-order.

Over the weekend, the Oppo A17 surfaced in leaks, and it is now official.

The smartphone includes a Mediatek CPU, a large battery, and two cameras, but its main selling point is the texture of the rear panel, which mimics leather.

A 6.56″ LCD with HD+ resolution and a typical 60Hz refresh rate served as the foundation of the Oppo A17.

For the fixed-focus 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera, there is a waterdrop notch. A 2MP depth sensor and a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera are on the rear.

The Helio G35 chipset is compatible with the A16, A16s, and A16K. Storage has 64GB, while RAM is 4GB.

The Oppo A17 has two SIM card slots and a micro SD card slot that can accommodate up to 1 TB of additional storage.

The A17’s micro USB connector is used to charge the device’s 5,000 mAh battery. The power key’s integrated fingerprint reader and ColorOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12, are additional attractions.

Lake Blue and Midnight Black are the colors that are offered for the leather back.

Currently, the phone costs MYR 599, or roughly $130, in Malaysia. Although the price in Singapore has not yet been determined, it is also available for pre-order there.

Rupee recovers as market awaits new Finance Minister

Rupee recovers as market awaits
  • The exchange rate witnessed a gain of Rs2.63 to reach Rs237.02 against the dollar from Friday’s closing of Rs239.65.
  • The latest recovery in the value of the local unit can also be attributed to a decline in the international oil prices.
  • Foreign exchange reserves also recorded a decline on the back of less inflows and higher imports.

The rupee recorded a major gain against the dollar on Monday as the market rejoiced at the news of the likely appointment of Ishaq Dar as the new finance minister.

The exchange rate witnessed a gain of Rs2.63 to reach Rs237.02 against the dollar from Friday’s closing of Rs239.65 at the interbank exchange market.

Analysts said that the market is optimistic that the upcoming finance minister will likely take measures to arrest the flight of the dollar to support the local economy.

Dar, known for keeping the rupee overvalued against the dollar, is expected to become the country’s new finance minister after Miftah Ismail officially resigns from his post.

The latest recovery in the value of the local unit can also be attributed to a decline in the international oil prices which slid to below $80/barrel.

Pakistan is a net importer of petroleum products and any change in the global oil prices directly impacts the current account of the country.

The expected inflows of the foreign currency in the future from multilateral institutions and friendly countries to help Pakistan fight against flood losses also helped the rupee regain its ground.

The government also secured some economic support from Saudi Arabia, to provide the required stability to the exchange rate.

  • Several third-party apps are still incompatible with the Android 13 operating system.

The OxygenOS 13 upgrade, which is based on Android 13 OS, has begun rolling out to the OnePlus 10 Pro in China.

The company’s flagship smartphone had already received the update in other areas when it was released at roughly the same time in the brand’s domestic market.

For those who are unaware, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer started distributing the OxygenOS 13 upgrade to its consumers a few days ago.

However, this update was only available to people who had signed up for the main upgrade’s beta program. The OxygenOS 13 stable build’s official release has now arrived in China.

Therefore, people anticipating the upgrade should make sure to backup any crucial personal data before implementing it.

The company also mentioned in an official forum that customers of the public beta build are not required to register for the official version and can instantly update via system push notification.

Apple begins iPhone 14 production in India

Apple begins iPhone 14 production
  • Apple has officially begun manufacturing the iPhone 14 in India.
  • It will take a few weeks before clients can receive the Indian-made product.
  • Apple will save import fees and taxes by manufacturing the new iPhone 14 domestically.

Apple has officially announced that it has begun producing the iPhone 14 in India.

The newest iPhone model, which was just introduced, is the first to be made in the nation shortly after its release.

The Foxconn factory close to Chennai is where the smartphone is produced.

Since several years ago, Apple has been contract manufacturing four different iPhone models in India with the help of its business partners.

However, a quarter or two after its debut, the phone production cycles were delayed.

Apple will save import fees and taxes by manufacturing the new iPhone 14 domestically, but the brand won’t lower the smartphone’s price in the country, as it hasn’t done with the prior versions either.

Foxconn is a global leader in the production of electronics.

The ‘Made in India’ label will appear on the iPhone 14 when it is sold both domestically and internationally.

However, it will take a few weeks before clients can receive the Indian-made product.

“We’re excited to be manufacturing iPhone 14 in India,” Apple said in a statement.

“The new iPhone 14 lineup introduces groundbreaking new technologies and important safety capabilities.”

In a previous report, JP Morgan predicted that Apple would shift 5 percent of the manufacturing of the iPhone 14 to India by the end of 2022 and 25 percent of the total production of iPhones to the country by 2025.

Android 13 update for Samsung Galaxy A53 to arrive soon

Android 13 update for Samsung Galaxy A53
  • Samsung has been testing the One UI 5.0 beta version of Android 13 on a variety of handsets in various locations.
  • By the end of 2022, Samsung will update two generations of its flagship smartphones; report.
  • The company has not yet made public the list of devices that are eligible for the upgrade or the distribution schedule.

For the past few weeks, Samsung has been testing the One UI 5.0 beta version of Android 13 on a variety of handsets in various locations.

The company has not yet made public the list of devices that are eligible for the upgrade or the distribution schedule.

Prior to that, a study outlining the devices that might have access to the most recent version of Android before 2023 has just surfaced.

Let’s look at which Samsung smartphones will get the One UI 5.0 stable upgrade first.

An international tech source has said that by the end of 2022, Samsung will update two generations of its flagship smartphones to One UI 5.0 stable, which is based on Android 13.

More intriguingly, the South Korean IT behemoth will simultaneously roll out this update to a mid-range smartphone.

It’s none other than the Galaxy A53 in question.

If so, the A53 will be the first device from the A series to get the most recent Android upgrade alongside the flagships.

Here is a list of Samsung devices that are rumored to receive the stable Android 13 upgrade before 2023.

  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 3
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra
  • Galaxy S22 Plus
  • Galaxy S21 Plus
  • Galaxy S22
  • Galaxy S21
  • Galaxy A53

Despite the fact that this information makes Samsung’s update strategy sound promising, it actually lags behind Oppo’s.

The latter has already started rolling out Android 13 stable to both its 2022 flagships and OnePlus’ 2022 devices.

In any case, Samsung offers lengthier support than all other Android OEMs.

It is the only company to provide 5 years of security updates in addition to 4 generations of Android updates.
